A bitter gourd plantation in the Western part of India (Kannad District) achieved a 75% increase in crop yield and an improvement in both crop and soil quality with the application of CrestHarvest™ 588 throughout their planting and harvesting season.
The crop treatment period is from March to May 2025, with an expected harvest yield of 2 to 2.5 tons per acre. With the application of CrestHarvest™ 588, farmers achieved a 75% increase in total harvest yield, reaching 3.5 tons. Farmers expected 3-4 rounds of harvest, yielding 0.5 to 0.7 tons, but managed to attain 5 rounds of harvest, each averaging 0.7 to 0.9 tons.
Apart from improved results from crop harvest, the quality of crops from the application of CrestHarvest™ 588 is also apparent, with darker, greener leaves and healthier stems. These attributes greatly supported the flowering and fruiting stages of the bitter gourd crop. The improvement of soil porosity also enabled better water infiltration and increased nutrient availability to the crops.
